New Look Wishlist

I am in love with New Look at the moment! I have been a lover of floral styles for many years and they have so many pretty styles, I could literally buy everything in store. I especially love the mix with pastels which are also becoming a new favourite of mine, I particularly love the yellow floral shorts, I think these will soon be appearing in my wardrobe!

Celine Inspired Top

Today I teamed this Celine inspired crop top with an asymmetric black skirt. I love this outfit and chose makeup which I thought complimented it (if anyone wants to know what I used just ask!) This top is made from a neoprene/scuba type material so is lovely and thick and I also think it would look great with a pair of jeans. It is so similar to the paint print seen in the Celine SS14 collection and is a complete steal at only £8.00!! The skirt is a lovely material, I probably should have done a close up because it is a jacquard style of fabric in a rose print style.  I don't have many heels because I am 6 ft so I just teamed it with some black studded courts which I found in the back of my wardrobe. Makeup worn is all brought from Superdrug, a store which I am falling in love with more and more! Again apologies about the camera angles, as I take them myself with a timer I can't find anything as tall as me to lean the camera against so my head doesn't look so tiny haha! I may have to start asking my annoying little brother to help - although I am sure I will be greeting with a "No, get lost"...

Bargain Jewellery Haul

Today I discovered a dreamy online store, cherrydiva.co.uk which stocks heavenly vintage/costume style jewellery at seriously reasonable prices! I love pastels at the moment, my wardrobe is full of them so buying jewellery to compliment them is very important and justifiable. I ordered all of these things and cannot wait for them to arrive for my holidays, check them out and let me know what you think because I literally cannot get enough of them!

The wrap blouse

I love this top, it is almost like a checked pattern between white and almost sheer fabric which also makes it look textured. I always used to think that the wrap design on tops and dresses was a 'mumsy' style, however I have recently fallen in love particularly with tops and vest tops! This one is great because it comes with the white vest top underneath as if worn alone the wrap top would be slightly inappropriate to say the least! It is a really comfortable item and smartens up a casual everyday look. I think it could be worn with black trousers or wet look leggings making it very versatile as it could be worn as workwear or possibly for a night out.
The jeans are superskinny jeans and are quite a bright blue which I really like, I LOVE these jeans because they are the first size 12 I have fit into since I was about 14 years old so therefore to me they are a great investment (haha). What do you think about the wrap top - is it something which appears in your wardrobe or something you avoid?

Top - Soon Range - Matalan: Sale Price £8.00!!

Missguided Ripped Jeans

Today I tried to rip some old jeans myself following the instructions on Missguided's website which can be found here. I have recently lost some weight and therefore have jeans which don't fit me so I felt it acceptable to risk it on this pair (haha!). They don't look too big but I had to pull them up and had a massive gap but luckily this can't really be seen from the pictures! They are New Look acid wash jeans and I turned up the bottoms today just because I like the ankle grazer look. Despite needing a belt I am still going to wear these jeans because they look kind of cool high waisted and look slightly baggy like boyfriend jeans (to me anyway...) Simply using some scissors, cardboard and a nail file instead of sand paper I attempted to rip them! Below are pictures of the outcome. Not sure what I think and whether I will actually be brave enough to wear them - what do you think?! The tutorial is really easy to follow so if anyone wants to save some money and wants ripped jeans give it a go and let me know how you get on :):)

Oh by the way, sorry about the photo quality, I'm not very good at taking photos and I have to use my phone as I don't have a proper camera! Any tips to improve my photography taking skills would be much appreciated! I also felt slightly silly posing so excuse the obvious lack of posing experience...

I don't really shop in Superdrug but I popped into my local store and found some really cheap makeup which I couldn't resist trying out. I am so impressed! The eye shadow palette looks so much more expensive than it is when on. It glides on really smoothly and has a lovely shimmer, blending really nicely. It lasts all day as well which is an added bonus! I always make sure I wear a primer on my face and eyes particularly because it helps make colour last, apply smoothly and appear darker. The two complexion kits definitely give my skin a brighter, more dewy glow I literally can't stop raving about these products!! I am wearing the peach lipstick on the end of the photo in the pictures and have a thing for pale/nude lipsticks at the moment so this is my go to item on a daily basis now! So if you need to update or add to your makeup collection and are on a limited budget, make sure you go to Superdrug and give the brands listed below a try!

Hi Guys,
My first official post - how exciting! If I am going to start writing a blog about budget buys I have to include Ebay obviously! My obsession with all things pastel this summer is crazy and mixing this with being a top bargain hunter made me come across these beauties on Ebay. I know some people think Ebay is a waste of time and you can never find anything decent but I got these beauties at bargain prices and am so excited for them to arrive! I have wanted some cats eye style sun glasses for ages and got them at the bargain price of £3.69! They will be worn over and over again this summer and I can't believe I got such a summer favourite for this cheap!
I came across the pink v neck peplum when having a random browse and fell in love with it instantly. I love the peplum I think it is such a flattering style for all body shapes and always makes you look so elegant. I liked it because of the pastel pink and the unusual v neck shape which I haven't seen that much - peplum tops are usually round necked! Got this at the bargain price of £5.17 and it has never been worn, result!
Loved the floral design of the middle top and the bright yellow is a colour I don't usually wear so wanted to try something new, bargain price of £4.80 and finally just won this cute casual pink cami style top which is perfect for those (hopefully) sunny days this summer over a cute pair of shorts or skinny jeans, it was £4.79. So I think if you type in key words and be savvy with your bidding (I literally leave it until the last ten seconds before I bid) you will find fashionable and affordable bargains on ebay!
